Intro to Scratchboard Workshop

Date: Saturday, March 21

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Instructor: Lisa Martini-Dunk

Spend a fun and engaging day learning the art of scratchboard with talented instructor Lisa Martini-Dunk. This unique technique uses a surface made of compressed white clay coated in black ink, allowing you to create striking images by scratching away the surface to reveal light and texture beneath.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore a variety of tools and techniques to create different textures and effects. The theme for the day is birds, and participants are encouraged to bring a photo reference for inspiration. You can choose to enhance your piece with colour or keep it as a bold black-and-white illustration.

Suitable for beginner and intermediate artists, this workshop offers a supportive environment to learn and create.
