One-Day Encaustic Painting Workshop

Discover the ancient art of encaustic painting! Dating back to ancient Greece, encaustic painting uses a blend of beeswax and tree resin to create paints that are fluid when warm and harden as they cool.

In this one-day workshop, you'll explore color, application, and texture while creating a rural landscape that reflects your own style. You’ll learn basic encaustic techniques and how to use additional tools to add dimension and texture. Some prior painting experience is preferred.

Instructor: Linda Virio
Date & Time: One day, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch break; lunch not included)
Course Fee: $160 (+ $45 materials fee payable to the instructor)

  • Wearing a mask is optional.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Cancellations received more than 3 days before the class are eligible for a credit or refund, less a $25 cancellation fee.

    • No refund or credit for cancellations within 3 days of the class.

    • Registrations may be transferred to another person at no charge.
