Strawberry season is here—and there’s no better way to kick off summer than with a sweet, sun-soaked adventure at one of Scugog’s local farms!

Gather the kids, grab a basket, and head to Willowtree Farm, Applewood Farm Winery, or Forsythe Family Farms for a fun-filled day of pick-your-own strawberries. These family-friendly farms offer more than just fresh fruit—they're a chance to slow down, get your hands a little dirty, and make lasting memories in the great outdoors. From wagon rides and animals to homemade treats and farm-fresh air, it's the perfect escape for all ages.

And if you're just looking to grab a pint (or a few!) of juicy, ready-to-go berries, be sure to stop by The Trading Post, just north of Port Perry, where freshly picked local strawberries are always in stock.

  • Admission: Baskets range from $7 (1 L) to $30 (4 L); ages 2+ require a basket

🍷 Applewood Farm Winery (Seagrave)

  • Note: Due to the extreme hot dry weather of the last week our strawberry crop is almost finished for the 2025 season.  We will be open today, Friday June 27 from 11-5 pm.  This may be our last day for strawberry picking.  Please check our socials for updates.

  • Admission: $15 (ages 4+), includes a 2 L basket; additional berries $6/L

🚜 Forsythe Family Farms (Greenbank)

  • 1025 Cragg Rd, Greenbank, ON

  • Open: Thursday–Sunday, 9:30 am–5 pm

  • Admission: Minimum one 3 L basket per two people (ages 3+); more sizes available

  • Bonus: Wagon rides, farm animals, trails, and interactive Farm’n’Fun zones on weekends!

  • If you're short on time or just want to grab some sweet local berries, visit The Trading Post, located just north of Port Perry on Hwy 12. They offer farm-fresh picked strawberries, ready to take home and enjoy.
